A small error has been found in Mi-Dia Blog 1.1.0 Release pertaining to the links block. The problem caused the links block to not be able to be hidden. This has been updated in the current download. For anyone wishing to patch it themselves then please complete the following
--------------------------------
Open ./includes/menu.php
--------------------------------
FIND $linksql = mysql_query
--------------------------------
BEFORE ADD
--------------------------------
if ( confdata(blocklinks) == '0' ){
--------------------------------
FIND block('Links',''.$llinks.'');}
--------------------------------
AFTER ADD
--------------------------------
}
-------------------------------
As you can see its only a small update and can be patched within moments.
We have made a small change to the homepage as part of routine maintanence and development. We have decided to add a small panel for release related posts. This panel will only display the actual release topics and will cover all scripts that we release.
We have also shifted the news panel down a row and enabled full expansion. This may be modified at a later date to contain more information about the entry, such as author and date. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:Update

As you can see we are unveiling the new site version and design. This version is a customised Mi-Dia Blog 1.1.0 installation with the Mi-Dia Forum 1.0.0 Modification. Although all the data was saved and restored, this site is much different from its predecessors.
Along with the new site has come a glowingly purple appearance, this was a last moment change and was a big one indeed. We feel it is much better than the design we had planned to release.
Some may be asking where the new release's are though. In short they are not online now. We intend to add the blog, core and forum within the next couple of days. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:Site Blog Core Forum NEw

It has been some time since I last made some information available and felt I should do so tonight. Somehow though posting on this site seam's rather out dated. I have been so tuned into the new set-up that this version does not seem to cut it for me any-more. By the way this is not running on the true 1.1.0, this site was using a beta and the final product is a lot different, especially on the back end.
What news do I have for you all though, well some goes back on information I gave out earlier. As change's have been made, so have decisions;
- CMS Mode renamed
The CMS mode as we dubbed it was a layout enhancement to the blog which added a new menu while distributing the new blocks. Since we have similar content available in both modes, this has been changed to "Layout"
- Introducing the first core
Mi-Dia Core, which will make its debute shortly after 1.1.0's release. Its the base we made and built the blog upon. With another script we are developing we decided to take an installation of the blog and strip it down to the bare bones. Core is essentially the basis which we will share with any developer's wishing to use it. Its not recommended for the non developer's, as the core does not contain any front end features and is intended to be a base for a built on site.
- Mi-Dia Forum
The Mi-Dia Forum will also be released around the time of the 1.1.0 version of the blog. Currently it is being built as a standalone script, but can share the same database as the blog by being built upon the Mi-Dia Core. It will also be adapted into MOD form, allowing it to be installed directly onto a blog.
As for Mi-Dia Blog itself, there has been a great deal of front end efficiency, making the script fast and lighter. The Staff Panel is now the brain's of the operation, handling all the bulky tasks including post management, page management and everything you would except of a staff only area.
The current status of all 3 products are as follows;
Mi-Dia Core is Complete
Mi-Dia Blog is in Pre Release testing
Mi-Dia Forum is in Development View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:General
Mi-Dia Blog 1.1.0 is well into its Beta Testing stage now and has been tested both as a fresh install and an upgrade from 1.0.8.
Both tests went well and no bug's were uncovered in this stage of testing, since the test's we have been tweaking though, mainly with feature and layout option's rather than the core of the script.
The blog is still a blog, but has full support for being a Content Management System, with a CMS mode which is enabled by default. It has continued on its path to being the most adaptable and easy to use blog that we have experienced.
It wont be too long before Mi-Dia Blog 1.1.0 hits the downloads, and we are sure it will be a pleasure for all. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:1.1.0
Once again due to the poor development behind Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser, the template is not correctly shown in IE. This is because IE refuses to be compliant with W3C web standards.
Because of this we are currently working at making this template work correctly with IE and other browser's.
The first version of the forum has now been added to the website.
Although in its early stage, it can handle basic forum requirements but lack's some preferred features such as quoting and signatures. We hope you will enjoy using this new feature. It can be accessed through the Forum link in the header. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:Forum
The changes continue with some of the site rebuilt again. This time we have used the Page's system to make up for some of the navigation page's and have reintroduced Mod Database, Template Database and Download to the website. These feature's can now be used as they were before.
Mi-Dia website is now running on the Beta for the next version of Mi-Dia Blog, this is due to some of the feature's being needed on this site and to test it in a live environment.
As this is just the base install, it will take a few day's to touch up and install the addon's including community forums. We will keep you up to date with all changes. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:Site Forum CMS Upgrade

We apologise for the recent downtime of Mi-Dia, currently the reason for the downtime is not fully known and is being investigated to ensure it will not reoccur.
Due to the downtime we have reverted to a base installation of 1.0.8, this is only a temporary means while we rebuild the website.
During this time section's of the site will not be accessible. If you click a link and are redirected to a 404 page or the home page, this is an indication of this. We hope to have the site fully up and running again soon. View Full Entry Category: News Comments:0Tags:Downtime
